וַיִּתֹּם הַכֶּסֶף מֵאֶרֶץ מִצְרַיִם וּמֵאֶרֶץ כְּנַעַן וַיָּבֹאוּ כָל־מִצְרַיִם אֶל־יוֹסֵף לֵאמֹר הָֽבָה־לָּנוּ לֶחֶם וְלָמָּה נָמוּת נֶגְדֶּךָ כִּי אָפֵס כָּֽסֶף׃

Cumque defecisset emptoribus pretium, venit cuncta Ægyptus ad Joseph, dicens: Da nobis panes: quare morimur coram te, deficiente pecunia?
Y acabado el dinero de la tierra de Egipto y de la tierra de Canaán, vino todo Egipto á José diciendo: Danos pan: ¿ por qué moriremos delante de ti, por haberse acabado el dinero?
When the money from the lands of Egypt and Canaan was gone, all the Egyptians came to Joseph and said, “ Give us food. Why should we die before your eyes? For our funds have run out!”
