Dixitque ei Dominus: Nequaquam ita fiet: sed omnis qui occiderit Cain, septuplum punietur. Posuitque Dominus Cain signum, ut non interficeret eum omnis qui invenisset eum.
Y respondióle Jehová: Cierto que cualquiera que matare á Caín, siete veces será castigado. Entonces Jehová puso señal en Caín, para que no lo hiriese cualquiera que le hallara.
“ Not so!” replied the LORD. “ If anyone slays Cain, then Cain will be avenged sevenfold.” And the LORD placed a mark on Cain, so that no one who found him would kill him.
