וַיִּקַּח אַבְרָהָם אֶת־עֲצֵי הָעֹלָה וַיָּשֶׂם עַל־יִצְחָק בְּנוֹ וַיִּקַּח בְּיָדוֹ אֶת־הָאֵשׁ וְאֶת־הַֽמַּאֲכֶלֶת וַיֵּלְכוּ שְׁנֵיהֶם יַחְדָּֽו׃

Tulit quoque ligna holocausti, et imposuit super Isaac filium suum: ipse vero portabat in manibus ignem et gladium. Cumque duo pergerent simul,
Y tomó Abraham la leña del holocausto, y púsola sobre Isaac su hijo: y él tomó en su mano el fuego y el cuchillo; y fueron ambos juntos.
Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac. He himself carried the fire and the sacrificial knife, and the two of them walked on together.
