«the day and hour no one knows» — Mateo 24:36
rabbinic calendar (reference): September 23, 2025
Yom Teruah — the day of the trumpet blast — is the only feast that falls on day 1 of a month. Under the sighted-moon calendar that makes it unique: a biblical month lasts 29 or 30 days and no one knows which until two witnesses see the crescent from the land of Israel. The season could be known; no one knew the day or the hour.
That is why Yeshua's words about His return sound like this feast: "About that day and hour no one knows" (Matthew 24:36). And the return comes with Yom Teruah's own signal: "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God" (1 Thessalonians 4:16).
Here we do not fix a date: we show the two-day window, and confirm it when the crescent is sighted. The uncertainty is not a flaw of the calendar — it is the message of the feast.
