4 Baruch
"The Rest of the Words of Baruch" (Säqoqawä Eremyas): the fall of Jerusalem seen through Jeremiah, his scribe Baruch, and Abimelech the Ethiopian — the man who slept 66 years under a fig tree and woke with the figs still fresh, an image of God's faithfulness through exile. In the Ethiopian canon it belongs to the block of Jeremiah. Brief, narrative, and surprisingly tender.
Offered for study and reference.
